We've met on Facebook, twitter, over coffee, at conferences. We've helped each other, agonised over edits together, shared triumphs and rejections and I am so proud to call all these people friends.
Without the internet I wouldn't know many of them (including the wonderful lady, Tea Cooper, on the left - but more about her in a moment!), and I wouldn't have read their books - so it's great that on my website I can share some of their stories and advice.
I've had two blogs on the go, besides this website (and blog), for some time now. As you may know I originally started writing (and lurking on Facebook) as Susie Medwell, romance writer - and my Susie blog has been the place where I've shared writing craft posts, news about publishers, tales about Barcelona and guest posts from other romance writers. When my first erotic title was published it was under this name, Zara Stoneley, and my Zara blog became the place for erotic tales, and posts from erotica and erotic romance authors... and never the two shall meet!
But keeping three blogs on the go, plus a website, and keeping everything up to date has started to eat into precious writing time - and I do love writing my books!
So my website has had a facelift! I'm still writing erotic romance, but my next title (as you may have heard) is going to be a big, fun, Jilly Cooper/Fiona Walker style bonkbuster - which in a way merges my two sides! This website is going to be home for all my books, and my blog posts, with areas devoted to my interests - Barcelona, writing tips, guest authors, food, Cheshire and my pets... plus my main blog (under the NEWS tab at the top) will continue to keep you up to date on my new releases and author related activities.
Check out the bottom of the HOME page (tab at the top) of the website to find out more about the other things I want to share (I'm in the process of updating at the moment - so please bear with me!).
My guests are going to be from all walks of life, from all around the world, writing all kinds of books - so be warned, it could be sweet one week and saucy the next, but the one thing they all have in common is that they're wonderful authors.
I'm kicking off on the 13th July with a great friend of mine. I met Tea Cooper on Facebook when we were both still chasing that elusive first contract, and we've shared lots of good times and bad. She's currently riding high in the Amazon charts in Australia with some brilliant books - and this is what they say about this one -
From Escape's Queen of Australian historical romance comes a story about a privileged member of Australian's squattocracy, a bushranger, and a very special horse.
If you'd like to hear more about the book, and the author, please do join us on the 13th... on the other side of the world!
